Arsenal to miss out on Lacazette?
Atletico Madrid appear to have beaten Arsenal to win the race to sign Lyon star Alexandre Lacazette, reports RMC Sport.
The outlet's story suggests Los Colchoneros will pay €40m (£34m) for the 25-year-old, who has scored 31 goals this season in all competitions.
The player is thought to have chosen Diego Simeone's side after "advanced discussions."
The Gunners are widely reported to have bid €35m last summer, but fell just short of OL's valuation and will now be forced to look elsewhere in their search for a new striker.
United to replace De Gea with Oblak
Manchester United have prepared themselves for life after David De Gea, should the Spain No.1 join Real Madrid this summer, with the Independent reporting Jan Oblak has emerged as the priority replacement.
The Atletico Madrid star has a €100 million release clause in his contract, though United would likely be unwilling to pay that much for the Slovenia international.
The Red Devils have also considered a move for England and Manchester City shot-stopper Joe Hart, who will return to the Etihad this summer from a season-long loan at Torino.
While Gianluigi Donnarumma and Samir Handanovic were reportedly also discussed by the United brass, Oblak is seen as the ideal candidate to make De Gea's departure as painless as possible.
Chelsea target Celtic starlet
Chelsea have identified Celtic starlet Michael Johnson as potential target this summer, according to the Mail, with the 18-year-old seen as one of the brightest talents coming through at Parkhead.
With just one year remaining on his contract, Brendan Rodgers faces a fight to persuade Johnson to stay.
Stoke and Derby have also been scouting the 18-year-old, who shone in the Scottish Youth Cup final as Celtic thrashed Rangers 3-0.
Tap-ins
- Napoli will raid Athletic Bilbao this summer, reports Corriere dello Sport, with the Partenopei keen to sign one of Iker Muniain and Inaki Williams.
Maurizio Sarri has built one of Europe's most-attractive attacking sides, but will look to add more options in the final third after being forced into utilising, with immense success, Dries Mertens as a centre-forward following Arek Milik's injury.
- Crystal Palace and Newcastle will look to sign Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton this summer, reports the Sun.
Heaton has enjoyed three fine seasons for the Clarets, which has earned him a place in the England squad. However, Sean Dyche will hope a £15m price tag and a strong bargaining position due to the 31-year-old having three years left on his contract can put off potential suitors for his man between the posts.
- Bayern Munich full-back Rafinha is open to a move to the Premier League. The 31-year-old from Brazil has started just nine Bundesliga matches for the club this season, but revealed he's been the subject of offers from Prem clubs.
