While Spurs chase Chelsea for the Premier League title, those behind fight for Champions League qualification. Liverpool should have enough with only three games to play, while Manchester City, United and Arsenal play catch up.
But who will make the top four? ESPN FC runs the predictions.
Current points:
3rd: Liverpool - 69 points
4th: Manchester City - 66
5th: Manchester United - 65
6th: Arsenal - 60
Saturday, May 6
Manchester City vs. Crystal Palace: Draw
Sam Allardyce will seek to exploit City's defensive weaknesses. Set pieces are bound to be employed, as will Wilfried Zaha's pace on the break against a team vulnerable to counterattacks. An extra week of fitness for Gabriel Jesus should add firepower to City but it won't be enough to win.
Points: Liverpool 69, City 67, United 65, Arsenal 60
Sunday, May 7
Liverpool vs Southampton: Liverpool win
Liverpool will want to gain revenge after losing an EFL Cup semifinal to Saints, for whom manager Claude Puel is under scrutiny after an indifferent second half of the campaign. And they will do so.
Arsenal vs. Manchester United: Draw
Arsenal have beaten United only once in a league fixture since 2011, while United are bound to be tired and patched-up after playing their Europa League semifinal at Celta Vigo on Thursday. Two teams short of form and fitness will cancel each other out.
Points: Liverpool 72, City 67, United 66, Arsenal 61
Wednesday, May 10
Southampton vs. Arsenal: Arsenal win
Again, this match may depend on how much Southampton are playing for manager Puel, though the same may be said for Arsene Wenger and his men. Southampton have already been beaten twice this season by Arsenal (in league and FA Cup) and expect that to continue.
Points: Liverpool 72, City 67, United 66, Arsenal 64
Saturday, May 13
Manchester City vs. Leicester City: Manchester City win
Presumably, Pep Guardiola will not make the same mistake of playing a high line against Leicester as he did in December, when he found his team on the end of 4-2 defeat and 3-0 down in 20 minutes. Leicester beat hapless West Brom last week, but have lost form after securing safety, so City should have enough for this one.
Stoke City vs. Arsenal: Draw
The last time Arsenal won at Stoke was in February 2010, a 3-1 win remembered for the broken leg suffered by Aaron Ramsey after a tackle by Ryan Shawcross. Even Stoke's recent slump will not be able to buck that ageing trend.
Points: Liverpool 72, City 70, United 66, Arsenal 65
Sunday, May 14
West Ham vs. Liverpool: Liverpool win
Jurgen Klopp did not enjoy life at Upton Park, losing there both in the league and FA Cup during his early months in charge of Liverpool. The London Stadium should be far more accommodating, as the Hammers crawl to the end of their disappointing season.
Tottenham vs. Manchester United: United lose
Spurs' final game at White Hart Lane pits them against a team that delivered their second-to-last league defeat (1-0 in December), but Tottenham have improved since then, while United look tired. Having to play the Sunday after their Europa League semifinal second leg with Celta Vigo will add to Jose Mourinho's concerns, and a lengthy unbeaten Premier League run should be ended by Mauricio Pochettino's team.
Points: Liverpool 75, City 70, United 66, Arsenal 65
Tuesday, May 16
Arsenal vs. Sunderland: Arsenal win
Long-relegated Sunderland should be ideal opposition for Arsenal to get themselves back on track and overtake United. Sunderland have not won at Arsenal since November 2002, a 3-2 League Cup win. In the league, the barren run stretches back to a 2-1 win in November 1983.
Manchester City vs. West Bromwich Albion: City win
West Brom have slowed up completely since going past the 40 points barrier in February. They have won just one game since then, a 3-1 defeat of Arsenal, and have not scored in their last five matches. City's need will be greater than Tony Pulis' men and they will seal a place in the Champions League playoffs.
Points: Liverpool 75, City 73, Arsenal 68, United 66
Wednesday, May 17
Southampton vs. Manchester United: United win
While Old Trafford, host to serial draws, has been an unhappy hunting ground for United, they have the third-best away record in the Premier League behind Chelsea and City, having played two fewer games. Southampton should a breeze, depending on availability of personnel and the reclaiming of fifth spot.
Points: Liverpool 75, City 73, United 69, Arsenal 68
Sunday, May 21
Liverpool vs. Middlesbrough: Liverpool win
By this point, Middlesbrough will surely have been relegated, meaning they should be easy enough opponents. Liverpool should land third, which despite the January abdication of their title ambitions, would represent a considerable achievement.
Arsenal vs. Everton: Arsenal win
Could this be Wenger's final home game in charge? We may not even know by this point but his players will be trying to win a starting place in the FA Cup final and Everton have a poor away record. The top four, however, will be out of reach by then.
Manchester United v Crystal Palace: United draw
"Maybe I will bring [head of coaching] Nicky Butt and his [reserve] team to play against Palace," said Mourinho after last week's 1-1 draw with Swansea. This match could be taking place three days ahead of a Europa League final. United signing off with another home draw would seem fitting, and it may push them to sixth.
Watford vs. Manchester City: City win
Comfortably mid-table, yet also reportedly in the business of seeking to move on manager Walter Mazzarri, Watford ought to be welcoming opposition to close out Guardiola's first City season with the bare-minimum achievement of fourth place.
FINAL TOTAL
3rd: Liverpool - 78
4th: City - 76
5th: Arsenal - 71
6th: United - 70
Prediction summary: Liverpool go into the Champions League group stage; City into the final qualifying round. Arsenal will head to the Europa League, for which United had already qualified by winning the EFL Cup.
Then all eyes will be on United -- if they reach the final, they will need to win the Europa League to qualify for the Champions League.
